Africa Collective had an all-week Davos presence from 15-19 January 2024, during the time of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. Proudly supported by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat as its Patronage Partner, Africa Collective hosted thematic morning sessions all-week, its second high-level African luncheon, as well as a networking reception – all aimed at fostering concrete exchange between African and international stakeholders as well as showcasing African opportunities. As an independent, business-led platform, Africa Collective was thrilled to announce that its partners for 2024 to date included international and pan-African industry champions Novartis, Standard Bank Group, Ringier AG and Pulse, who are actively contributing to the agenda in Davos to spotlight Africa’s incredible opportunities among global leaders. With media brand Business Insider Africa on board as a key collaborator, the initiative amplified and disseminated Africa-focused insights and discussions throughout the week in Davos – from its own events, its dedicated networking space near the promenade and beyond. Africa Collective Davos 2024 was a significant milestone for the platform, achieving a key goal of the initiative and its co-initiators by establishing such a presence. With leaders from diverse sectors converging in Davos, the initiative is set to ignite impactful dialogues and collaborations to drive positive change on the African continent.
